The 2010 Police Ball, held last May at the University Center, raised thousands of dollars for TPD programs and community outreach and was highlighted by the Tallahassee Democrat and other news media. Our eleventh ball, set for June 11th, 2011 at the University Center Club, promises to be our best yet!

Details about TCPAAA’s Annual Police Ball

Each summer, the Tallahassee Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association (TCPAAA) hosts its annual Police Ball.  The Police Ball is the major fundraiser of the TCPAAA, with the proceeds used exclusively to benefit Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) programs and activities of community and neighborhood outreach.

A special highlight of each Police Ball is the announcement of the winner of that year’s Walter A. McNeil Distinguished Service Award.   This special honor recognizes a TPD officer who has demonstrated extraordinary service and made a significant contribution to our community.

Other Events and Activities

In addition to the annual Police Ball, TCPAAA members also have exclusive access to advanced training sessions offered by the Tallahassee Police Department.   Check this webpage regularly for upcoming training sessions and other events.
